New CDC program will improve
application process

Our Certified Development Corporation National Meeting took place in May in beautiful Monterey, Calif. In attendance for the first time was the Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, along with his top administrators and regional administrators, making it the most heavily attended conference by SBA personnel. During the conference, association members were urged to adopt a new streamlined program to help us process our applications for borrowers more quickly and close deals.

The administration has been instrumental in getting this program into the 21st Century as far as technology and processing. In the 20 years that I have been in this industry, the changes in the past five years have been phenomenal as far as reacting to borrowers’ needs for instantaneous approvals, closings and just the overall process.Our CDC has assisted in streamline processing by allowing me to serve on national committees to work behind the scenes on what is important to the industry, customers and partner lenders. We will continue to serve the small businesses of Tulare, Kings and Fresno counties, as well as throughout the state.
